Star competed in her first 'unofficial' UKC shows in Ixonia, Wisconsin today. She was awarded Best Reserve Puppy for the first show and Best Puppy for the second show. Although, this was more about having fun and practicing, Star really has a bright future ahead of her.

CH Stonwall's Away Again Scout - New Title JH

Scout completed her fourth Junior Hunter test at the Wisconsin Amateur Field Trial Club today. She completed this with 4 tests in one month. This is Scout's second new title this month. She completed her Championship title on May 7th. Hooray for Scout!

We started our 'puppy exercises' today. We practice Early Neurological Stimulation based on a seminar that I attended by Dr. Carmen Battaglia. The intent is to stimulate the puppies during specific periods of neurological growth to make them better adapted dogs physically and mentally. To read more about this program click here.

Timber went for her last pre-whelping appointment today. The radiograph showed 8 puppies. Everyone looks healthy, so now we will just need to wait. Her due date is quickly approaching.

Stonewall's All Hail to Cesar placed 1st in the 6-9 month puppy dog class at the Park Shore KC show. Stonewall's Away Again Scout placed 1st in the 6-9 month puppy bitches class at the same show. A very good first show for both puppies.

We were fortunate to get together Abby, Blue, Cesar, Tessa, and Scout for a play date. It was great to see how all the puppies were growing and changing. Their new owners have been hard at work training and it shows. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to get together and trade tips and stories.

Carrie, Timber and Scout attend the Flat-Coated Retriever Club of Illinois Fall Hunt Training Seminar at Bong Recreation. An informational seminar and field training event. Scout did well for her first event and enjoyed the attention. Timber was happy to be back in the field after spending the summer with puppies.
